COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS BULLSHIT

Basically the COMELEC denied a gay party list because they were GAY. click on the title. Please Someone there SUE THEIR ASS and GET THEM OUT OF THE COMELEC. They are one of the most corrupt groups of the country. This is discrimination, thats grounds Names to remember Si Nicodemo Ferrer ay Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister (EEM), Our Lady of the Purification Parish, Binmaley, Pangasinan, si Lucenito Tagle ay Diocesan Director of the Christian Family Movement of Cubao (at baka nga kamag-anak pa ni Imus Bishop Chito Tagle) at si Elias Yusoph ay obviously Muslim. - Gari Lazaro

My Political Stance Updated

As of the Debate, last week Villar- proved disappointing. His excuses or "fast talk" tactics are reminiscent of the old school politicians that don't fly in the face of today's more empowered and educated population. Good thing I had a chance to know now that to make a mistake as I cast my vote. What riles me about his "fast talk" is that I've actually dealt with people who talk just like that. They fill the conversation with off-topic mish-mash and skirt the point. Escudero- Good answers -I'll give him that. But current events, like his news apperance that "He will not announce right now that he will be running for president in light of the calamity" is oozing... dripping with sleazey political play. Going on the news to "Not announce" his bid for the presidency "in light of the calamity" is just plain disgusiting. It is an insult to the general intelligence of the audience and the voting public. His alliance with Er...

Things to Consider when Voting

I've heard of the Platform of Gibo (Teodoro) but Promises are just air. When reading into your politicians, consider their motives more than their promises. Look at the consistency of their actions over their vows to change. Have you every changed much of your life? Ask yourself how much you have change and how much you have stayed the same. Its hard to change certain aspects of our life. So we look to the consistency of our candidates for the best clues if there is credibility to their claim. In respects with motives- all candiates have one motive in mind (power). Promises are great, but silence and consistency is better. I like that Villar didn't say quite exactly he was going to pursue or protect the Arroyos. Lets not even put that in the table, because I'd rather tackle it when we get there. Having not promised or acted in a way commitedly protective of the Ruling Administration is an awesome bit of statesmanship. Its close to being honest but without sabotaging one...

Why I will certainly not vote for Teodoro

He is the Arroyos Standard Bearer, If you want justice then you will certainly not get it with this loyal Dog of the Arroyos. His wife, a congress woman (and former beauty queen) is a ChaCha thrall, which emphasizes how loyal this guy is. Yeah, he maybe "smarter" and better qualified than Noynoy but between the two Noynoy actually is starting to grow bigger balls then Teodoro. Noynoy is actually facing off the Catholic Church, who was quick to sell him and was just as quick to attack him after Noynoy's RHB support. I guess the thing about being where he is, Noynoy only owes 2 people for his position: and they are both dead. Still I'm unchanged in my decision. I'd rather Villar run, there is a better chance of him serving the Arroys on a silver platter for the public to distract from his own inconsitencies and to sate the lust for justice of the people. Since the RHB is an overwhelmingly popular Bill the Church's horns are showing Padre . Playing political gam...

Why I'm learning to Fight

I like guns. But I never have (and never will) own one. I think it's just too dangerous to have one around the house, even with a lot of care. We're only human after all. I used to play airsoft. I had the MP5, M4A1, and the P90... :) - Harmless Harmless, its people like you who should own guns. That's the irony about them if you've heard the two cases of accidental gun death in the country months ago. Its the people who understand and are constantly aware of how much they are a responsibility who deserve the right to own one. In my understanding of the history of how meritocracies evolved, it was the freemen class's main defining characteristic was their right to bear arms. Comparing the history of France and England it was typical case study of how the critical mass of armed citizens were able to shift the balance of power towards meritocracies since power shifted from the elites towards the greater masses. In Game Theory, its like an exercise in equilibrium. ...

Joe Wilson Disrespecting Obama because he's Black

How come when people dissenting Bush's Policies (in the proper forums) are being unamerican but when people are dissenting Obama in a solemn event its Free Speech? http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/10/us/politics/10wilson.html?_r=1&hp http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/09/AR2009090903585.html?hpid=topnews I think in light of the health care controversy or misinformation, the hecklers of Obama feel like they can disrespect him cause he's black. Why of all presidents was he being attacked so readily and callously. I've read both the articles and I wasn't there BUT this stinks badly of Racism. Of all the times such outbursts had gone without a severe enough reprimand, creating confusion and sowing panic THIS outburst just put matters on a whole other light. This guy is basically saying: Obama what's the worse you can do, HA! that admittance of power and the way Joe Wilson CHANGED the entire center and focus of the debate to his vagrant act ...

Noy Noy Nanaman! (Again!)

This is the very sad and equivalent of the Philippines to America's Health Care Reform as it is a Crisis of Ignorance and Misinformation. http://acabaya.blogspot.com/ http://www.quezon.ph/2009/09/03/the-long-view-statesman/ and across Cyberspace and Philippine News http://jemygatdula.blogspot.com/2009/09/whom-noynoy-will-be-dealing-with.html** (Oh Noynoy, Oh the Philippine >facepalm We have people clamouring about Noynoy. In his interviews, his blog, his everything... he has only ONE thing going for him: His BLood Line. His Grades Are Mediocre and he didn't Perform even well in college His Professional Career is completely Shambles Among his Peers, he has the 3rd worst number of bills into law and 70% of them (because it was roughly 5 out of 7) were unimportant and were not life improving bills. This guy is getting all the attention because his mom died and his dad is a dead hero. In his personal life, he is currently dating his former staffer. I mean, can he at least get so...

Political Rant: Noynoy = Ninoy (NOT IN THIS REALITY!)

An online's dictionary's description of the the meaning of Politics to Power and Control. Power and control are not tools of the devil and not something "good" people cannot comprehend. Politics is about Strategy, Social Manuvers, and Bargains. Quite simply Game Theory explains Politics in the cut and dry simplicity Math can. Unfortunately I'm not a Mathematician, but I am a informed observer who can point out some of the nuances that are part of the problem. The first problem, is particularly about the Future of the Philippine Nation. On the car ride to work, talking with my wife, it is a very very sad day for the Philippine Nation when Kriss Aquino has MUCH better character than her OLDER brother Noynoy. I admit that I yelled tot he heavens that I would not vote for Kriss, but If it was between those two I felt really depressed about my country's prospects. Noynoy... Uggg. Someone who is RIDING his parent's populatiry (and RECENT DEATH) as a presidentiab...

Lesson of the Lame Duck

Ah, it seems that we are doomed to repeat history again. you know why they want you to vote Mar and Noynoy? It is because it is under a Lame Duck president, the corrupt will have the most freedom. Power is nothing to do Honor or Righteousness. Power is about Cunning, Strength of Will (to make enemies, hard decisions, and risk one's life going against the grain), and Charisma. Sorry, I still remember the Cory Administration. She may not have been corrupt but she could barely control her generals and politicos. I remember that lesson VERY well.

Spammed Everyone

Spammed everyone the list and pictures of all the Cha Cha congressmen. Regardless of their circumstances they faced, this became one of the most transparent acts of corruption. Looking at every face, it makes me think again of how gullible I can be. I know its the pictures of their best BUT to fall for the lies and the deception is still a very smelly stain to have on one's experience. Lessons of Life Learned.

Health Care Scare

Why arent EU countries with government healthcare lending their voice on the matter of American Healthcare? If it is as bad as people thought, why arent people wanting to talk about it and understand if there is anything wrong with it? Just so much rage but no reason. I know that these people are also being manipulated but in a transparent discussion, it can be quite clear they are being so.

Cory and the Illusions

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/02/opinion/02opclassic_aquino.html?_r=1 This is for my countrymen who have a very bad time remembering what truth was amid all the lies, exaggerations, self-serving propaganda and slogans. My sympathies are out for those who I've heard were attacked for voicing concerns on moderation, pragmatic reflection, and grounded self-awareness in this time of mass delusion. I now she is a symbol to many, but that many take forgranted the sacrifice of others, the dirty politics and hard choices she failed to make, and the overall mess she got herself into as a willing pawn by the king makers. When so much hope rode on her heels, she is human after all and not a saint or a hero of legend, and we forget that. We forget that and fail to see the impossible standard that we are faced and can never meet. How can we move forward if it is all "dreams" of prosperity against the hard truth and sacrifice needed for progress. She is just a person, like the rest of...

What should the Goverment spend on?

Given the realities of how the markets work and the conflicting interests of many parties, a nice puzzle to try to ask is "What should the goverment Spend on to get out of this economic situation?". The first thing that comes to mind is infrastructure. Of course, there will be infrastructure creation it is a very basic element the problem with the level of "basic" is asking "infrastructure for what?". Then comes the task of identifying strengths, weaknesses, and one's (economic) role. It then becomes a question of how well you know your country, your people and their strengths. Entering the equations with unrealistic-ungrounded values the first problematic factor that comes in making this decision. Patriotism is great in getting the job done, but not knowing what battle-field to fight in. Given the multi-cultural strength of the Philippines, I'm all for making it a teaching and training capital. As a culture that is actually the most predisposed to...

Vigilance and Secularism

Why am I an anti-religious nut? Well, if the power hungry could be held in check by someone else, then I wouldn't need to be vigilant. Then again, if I wouldn't need to be vigilant in the first place then I wouldn't be in a state of mental preparedness that allows me to cut through crap, prevent from being fooled or taken advantaged off. Check out also my new blog addition: http://doubtreligion.blogspot.com/ Source: Pharyngula (again)

Psychologically unprepeard: Philippine Customs

I was prepared to lose $30 to the Philippine customs red tape and corruption. Then I realized the complexities of the problem as time moved on. The emotional toll was something I underestimated. I failed to realize that as I waited for the package, my anticipation reshaped my value of the product. I'm not just losing $30, I'm losing $30 x opportunity cost of doing something else about it. Controlling impulses to take the matter into my own hands and fix it is in self a depressing element. Then there is the resources it would take to collect my package, opportunity cost = [Day's Pay + [emotional turmoil = ((philippine corruption + the countries sad state of affairs) x the is no hope for change)] + Daily Cost of Living + Transportation] x risk of getting into an accident. Holly shit I they're shaking me down = to the whole cost (Including Fee)... Alleged Customs Breakdown Total Cost = VAT (Variable Cost) + Custom Duties (Variable Cost) + Impo...

To all those Filipinos who are out there go to http://www.rhbill.com / to sign the bill petition. know the bill and sign it the bill petition. For those on the fence, read the bill and read the comments. For those against it, try to see the other side of the matter and talk about it with someone who understands the bill. ANC Forum in regards of Corruption

you do not say you will stamp out corruption, because We've all heard that and that is a lie, and corruption cannot be uprooted without personal cost like what happened to Lt. Senior Grade Nancy Gandian. First. Explain that there is should be an study concerning where there is corruption (graft, mis-allocation of funds, conficting interests, rigged biddings etc...), inefficiency and corruption that came about the government inefficiency. To generalize it simply is just playing to the crowd and grants no credibility. Second. In efficiency can be remedied and once this action takes into effect, the repercussions are a lower tolerance of corruption as well as eliminating corruption that stem from inefficiency (red tape). Efficiency creates a structure by which creates a greater circumstance of liability and responsibility and thus begin the slow but steady progress towards remedying corruptions. You cannot just remove corruption just because you say so, you affect change that will re...

Philippines is becoming Facist?

Facism , simply put, is the control over the personal choices and life of individuals. You begin that by removing the right to free speach. I can't believe it, who the F*ck wrote this bill? Even other Goverments don't have their right to reply extend to the Press or Anyone in General. Why is this bill being entertained, we already have severe corruption and transparency issues and we have this to boot. F*Ck that. "House committee on public information Manila 6th district Rep. Bienvenido Abante Jr. on Monday delivered his sponsorship speech for House Bill 3306," I bet this guy must be a politicos dog or a a really dirty politician to want to cover his a$$ with this bill. There is no international precedent that makes sense for this bill, why the F*ck are we even having this discussion. http://newsbreak.com.ph/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6178&Itemid=88889051 basically, If this bill will be finalized, I guess I will have to move to another count...
