Things to Consider when Voting

I've heard of the Platform of Gibo (Teodoro) but Promises are just air. When reading into your politicians, consider their motives more than their promises. Look at the consistency of their actions over their vows to change.

Have you every changed much of your life? Ask yourself how much you have change and how much you have stayed the same. Its hard to change certain aspects of our life. So we look to the consistency of our candidates for the best clues if there is credibility to their claim. In respects with motives- all candiates have one motive in mind (power).

Promises are great, but silence and consistency is better. I like that Villar didn't say quite exactly he was going to pursue or protect the Arroyos. Lets not even put that in the table, because I'd rather tackle it when we get there. Having not promised or acted in a way commitedly protective of the Ruling Administration is an awesome bit of statesmanship.

Its close to being honest but without sabotaging one's self in the Political Stage.

On the other hand, If the Arroyos are the king makers of Gibo: they can pretty much take away they have given. They are not stupid and they hedge their bets. Gibo's smart and he plays to win. He plays with the best odds for him and allies himself with the Biggest Fish.

..But Villar, he's is own man (he is his own Big Fish) and that makes him only liable to no one (except the filipino people but lets keep to being realistic). He keeps his own council and has no sweet words to grant any side. Now That is truly admirable. The will power to keep your mouth SHUT is something I find so lacking in all The other candidates. A true Byzantine Politician if I ever met one, the kind of guy Putin (not that I approve of his moral standing- but more of his political ability) and other world leaders would respect.

It speaks so well of his character I really wish he skill and luck holds till the election. He is those politicians who used to sell fish in the wet market growing up (something I am skeptical about but...). Singing about the Plight of the Poor when you're an Aristocrat and think that it is the Wealthy's Benevolence can afford them the subsidies they need is a whole lot of crap to me. You want someone who rose from the bottom and know what we REALLY need to get to the rise above our difficulties.

Teodoro is an aristocrat scion. Aristocrats whose wealth is bloodied by the murder of one of the best Statemen and Geniuses of the initial Philippine Revolution (Antonio Luna). My family is middle class rising to wealthy (but still mentally middle class) and know there is a VAST difference between THEORY and Practical application of Poverty alleviation. Aristocrats have that old seperatist mentality of "Them Masses" and "We the privilaged should" vs the middle class mentality which is more "us, our and we" (as well as "we got find a way out of this sh*...). That's why I want to be a soldier of industry, an entreprenuer, to fight the war on poverty not because of money but because without poverty we can move towards a more Informed, capable and challenge driven society.

Another Bit of Statesmanship or Political Strategy.
President Carter's Racism Cry. I've been hoping for this one. Attack the enemy in Two fronts. One is Racism to Put them in the defensive, but with Carter removing the redirecting Retaliation and Two Obama's High Road of Reason. HA! take that Joe Wilson! (you racist Pig- at least Kanye apologized repeatedly and was not excusing the outburst- Wilson forgets that the reason why everyone is asking him to say sorry is because it wasnt just an insult to Obama but to everyone)

Attacking the Misinformation Spreaders in both High and Low Road, shift slightly back and forth between Racism Issue and Talking about the issues. If they shout protests, and reason doesn't work Carter's comes in with Racism for a Rebuke. Attacking in two directions allows for the opponent to divide his resources while you maximizing your own. This works in social situations and in the physical geometrics of the battle field.

Joe wilson just made a case for those itching to use the race card. If the republicans want to Silence Carter wilson will eventually do something (either apoligize which gives ground OR polarize- raise the stakes).

If he chooses to polarize the situation (the equivalent of desperate ground), democrats should be quick to divide his support by making consessions to others and make the polarization an issue. Either Carter and the like shouting Racism can do this by Going High Ground and appologizing moving beyond the topic and the House Dem Crying foul with the Partisanship Polarization.
