Hard Sci Fi

Constantinople. Ended... I'm not that very good with endings especially since gaming has few opportunities to see the game through given the responsibilities adult life thrusts upon us. Anyway, glad I capped that well and moved on. Next Time I'll work on a better ending and better prep... for now I'm happy to focus on my Comic work.

Hard Sci Fi. I can't understand all those physics breaking tech that allow faster than light travel, artificial gravity or portable HIGH energy weapons. A lot of sci-fi geeks aren't economics geeks so i guess the concepts of infrastructure and practicality eluded them when they thought up these things till now. Now a days there is a more sober look at future tech given such understandings.

Like Lasers or portable high energy weapons. The cost and complexity to build a laser gun will never outweigh the simplicity, ease of maintenance, and economic advantages of a gun. Its more practical to send export AK-47 to another planet than Laser Guns, when you never have to worry about maintenance or spare parts.

...Artificial Gravity and Faster than light. Why recreate the force of gravity when you can simulate it with centrifugal force (and repair such a contraption when it breaks) or Why travel to other stars when The resources of this solar system should be enough to create habitats and metropli enough to fuel human expansion for thousands of years?

Anyway just thinkiing out loud.
