Buzzing with Hard Sci Fi

Anyway. Its that time of the year where my brain buzzes with sci fi. Feel like designing a freighter of about 500cubic meters. Wing design that spins to create centrifugal force to for the ships life support system. I was discussing it a bit in the forums and its more likely people will remain using this technique instead of making artificial gravity plates given the complexity of such a contraption and the difficulty to repair it if anything goes wrong.

Very Small Pet Peeves
. Some GMing habits that get to me

When to roll. Rolling EVERY TIME the character does something can get really weird and unusual. Especially when certain modifiers are forgotten like Non-hazardous actions (+4 to the roll)... the equivalent to Taking 10 in D20. Even in the task modifiers, in the Basic Set, says that A Car Chase is a Challenging roll with no modifiers and Driving Down the Street is a +10 (where i was asked to roll every time). Asking a player to keep rolling every time he does something and pouncing on that failed roll of a typically simple action tends to be weird and a bit hidebound. Also the Frequency of Rolling can be realy annoying. The old school of GM is like that, a roll All the time for every damn action. I'd rather have a roll at every "Scene" where the failure is an inconvenience or complication until the Climactic Scenes where its Pivotal to the plot.

Thats all, just wanted to get it out of my system and save others from my ranting.
