Laptop Repair in Megamall and Bad Parents

When I got my adapter repaired in Mega I first went to SST laptop n PC shop the guy told me 2 hours and 100 pesos diagnosis. After 2 hours we came back and found that he said water got in and burned out the adapter. We know that water wasn't the cause and we weren't electricians. We had to pay P100 for nothing, They offered us P3,200 for a new adaptor.

Looking for better prices we stumbled on SOS, a few steps nearby in the same Cyberzone. An older gentleman asked us what we needed and we asked if they had an adaptor. We showed to him our broken adaptor and he immediately brought us to his desk to evauate it for repair. He then explained to us in a way we undestood what was wrong and It wasnt that it got wet (as the guy is SST said) but the transmission fluid leaked out due to overheating. He wasnt quick to dismiss the adaptor but said it would take a week of labor to fix it P500 and P300 for parts. We got an adaptor from them at P1,200 and got our adaptor repaired (because the 1,200 can be used for other things) since it was repairable.

It was a stark difference in service and Parts. One was too glad to give up on our adaptor and ask us to pay P3,200 for a new one and the other said it can be fixed at a cost and a new one costs P1,200. Cost does not equal Quality but neither does Specialized Services equal Quality Services. The other party not only wasted our time, but for 1 hour of NOTHING he got P100 of our money for what was supposed to be service rendered but was a mis diagnosis.

If you don't want to be screwed like me in that price, if your Adaptor is broken go straight to SoS, don't even patronize that SST shop. This kind of criticism is what Bad service, Bad workmanship, and no customer satisfaction is typical of business which don't work hard to earn their money and expect to profit on the ignorant.

I realized I got it fixed as part of the waste less habits I'm trying to form. Better it get fixed or to add to the garbage.

"Holier-Than-Thou" Business Men.

We were sitting behind a bunch of "HTT Businessmen" in Pancake House the other Day and lines about the current economic crisis in Jargon being attributed to sinners, saying all non-religiously educated people a Idiots especially those Atheists, and gross over generalization with a "I-know-better" tone both made us find them stupid and intolerant.

What I found sad was the kid of one of them who was forced to sit coughing up phlegm to his indifferent father and his friends. He can't do anything but to sit with his father and friends while they discussed this and didn't have any snack or anything to do with his time since he can't even join the conversation.

I'm not a parent but as a person who has a long memory and able to remember stuff my parents shouldn't have done, I'd say the guy was a BAD parent and his friends were all hypocrite and idiots for not noting that they should have dropped the kid off somewhere else when they are going to ignore him the whole conversation.

Gurps Mysteries

A really great GM book . If there was Game Mastering for Dummies (not just for DnD or GURPS ), Gurps Mysteries is the next level of Advanced Game Mastering. This is where the players grow up a little, they are not as interested in Hack and Slash anymore and they begin to lean on a more cerebral challenge. One of the best elements of this books is how to communicate clearly to your players through clues and hints in the game. Despite its focus on mystery, this books i great for any intrigue. Eventually mastering these technqies, format, and story telling will allow for games to have a very clear and sophisticated finish. An art onto itself, and not just a game. Of course the most important element is having fun. 330mg of Caffeine will do the trick

Ok i got a grande brewed coffee and put 8-10 packets of brown sugar thats about 155 calories. This is twice the amount of Caffeine i get from my 2 shots of espresso in the morning with 4 teaspoons of brown sugar. How do i feel... Better! although my face is reeling from the bitter after taste of the coffee. good coffee is really sour going down and really bitter after. The intense sugar tends to make the sourness taste fruity. Anyway, my is elevated and I'm a bit hyper but i am able to control that better these days. The tons of notebook and the emotional intelligence studies help. Particularly when i've broken down most of my peculiarities and the way I think. Heck, I think i can make an entire wiki based on how I'd react to certain things.
