A Game, At Last

Bottom line: Had fun. and felt very much appreciated, especially when the resident history expert grilled me while I GMed. I have to say, Nikos can get a Phd in history if he wanted to (he's that good). And I'm surprised to pass many of his questions. Feel pretty good about myself.
Details. Too bad the guys didn't aid the Ventian ship, it would have certainly to their favor it they did. War with Milan has been difficult for the Ventians, even when Florence has allied with them. Much needed supplies or crucial aid when they needed goes a long way. Even if they were on a genoes fleet, a Greek Admiral commanded it, and PCs arguing over piracy in front of a man who was about to lose his homeland was pretty insensitive of the crew.

Other than that, they captured the galleys as they were rowed by slaves happy enough to aid the PCs once the crew jumped ship. They even capture Batahglu Pasha (the Blockade admiral). Eliminating Him would have diminished the number of capable Leaders by One. Capturing him would have given a chance for the byzantines to extract the sultan's plan.

Something I realized that few people didn't in the history books I read. Copying the Crusaders the Mehmet had to move his fleet far from view as he prepared them to modify them for a siege against the sea side wall. Thats why, mysteriously, the last aid the city received was able to run it. There werent enough ships to stop the larger and well armed Genoes ships.

The PCs arrived Just in time, as at April 22 a double siege was attempted as Both the Sea and Land walls were attacked.
